History buffs will love the Bignor Roman Villa, situated in Pulborough, West Sussex. Arundel Castle is an ancient castle and family home of the Dukes of Norfolk and their ancestors for over nine centuries. Visitors to the attraction can marvel at paintings and period furniture; tapestries and stained glass, as well as china and clock and heraldry and armour in room settings dating back as far as the 12th century. Also nearby to explore are the Fitzalan Chapel, the Rose, Kitchen and Flower Gardens and the dramatic Collector Earl’s Garden. Arundel is the perfect place to visit on a luscious sunny afternoon.

Those on a low-budget family holiday will love a fun day out at Harbour Park, in Littleborough. With a variety of thrill-seeking rides including family favourites like the dodgems, Harbour Park is a guaranteed day out to remember.
